16" or 17"?
16" or 17"?
I can't decide between these two sizes. I am planning to order Rota Boost, but I am worried that 16x7 +42 will look too small... there is also one size up that is 17x7.5 +45 or +48, and I'm worried that will cause tire rub (I am currently lowered on Neuspeed Sports with Stock shocks). Anyone recommend what would look great and won't sacrifice too much comfort (and tire size...)?
Really newbie at these type of stuff. I would really appreciate it if someone posted some 7th gens on this thread with 16" rims (Tire/wheel thread are all 17"!!! ... thanks alot!)

I've got 16"x7" rota slipstreams, and i'm dropped on neuspeed sprt springs.
with a 205/50/16 tire, i come close to rubbing in the front. my brother has 205/55/16, but he has the Tein S-techs, and is not as low. so a 55mm tire wouldnt fit without rubbing....imo
heres a pic of my car for visual refference.

this pic was takin a week or two after putting my springs on, so its settled down a little bit more.
and a lip kit would make it look just a tad-bit lower...but cant afford it right now. : /

Actually, 16" look sort of small on the Civic (Damn 7th gens). I think I'll go with 17x7.5... will it affect gas mileage much? Also, what tire size would you guys recommend? On stock wheels (15" w/ hubcaps) I have no finger gaps in the front and about 2 in the back.

I don't have Rota's, but I do have neuspeed sports on 17's.
IMO, I think 16's look too small as well. I'm riding on 205/45/17, +42 offset. I have -2 camber in the rear to prevent rubbing. Ideally, if I went with 205/40/17, I probably would be fine with no rubbing issues.
I've posted many pics before, but here's some for your reference.

I had 17's with a 40mm tire, and bent those wheels after hitting a pot-hole at 65mph. I dont recommend them. anything over a 45 gives you a lil more cushion(sp?) which is why i went with 16's the second time around.

I've been thinking about this 16 or 17 inch issue for ages now. I dont have wheels yet, but i'm starting to think 17s look about right. As said, the wheelwell is massive on the EM2
