how much of a big deal is this if they are going backwards? it never rains here, ever. no snow either. just dry, all the time. so is it a big deal if 3 out of 4 are going backwards?

Yes its a big deal. The belts and guts of the tire are intended to rotate in one direction. Get them flipped the right way. Whoever mounted them should be taken out back and shot.
Last time I had this much fun some furniture got broken!

if you drive over something as simple as a puddle, you will be pushing water UNDER your tires, and trying to keep control. It also may wear improperly.

not everyone who works at discount is stupid....
if you would do like anyone who knows enough
and watch them mount the tires/wheels
you could have prevented this yourself
