General brake questions
Is there any way that you can determine when you need to get the disc brake pads replaced (besides the obvious which is to drive and test the brake yourselves)? I know that there's a wear detector on most brake pads. But I can't locate it. Can someone tell me how to locate it and please post some pix.
also, does our 7thgen come with rear drum brakes? i don't think it does, but i just wanted to check and make sure. oh yeah i have a 02 ex coupe. my questions are pretty general, but i did try to search this forum, and couldnt find the answers.

Hey there, I see you are new to car parts. You can visually see how thick the pads are compared to some new ones and when it looks too thin you can replace them.
And yes, if you take off the rear wheels you will see drums on both sides, therefore they are drum brakes unless you or someone has converted it to disc brakes.

You can't see the wear indicator, its a metal strip molded into the pad compound. You'll know when you hit it, the noise is very obvious.
