what tires are good??
hey guys need new tires.. i have falken zeix but i hate them. had them on for 2 thousand miles and 2 already total blow outs. side wall to thin.. hwat tires you think are good. i was thinkin maybe dunlop direzza?? help me out... i need prolly 205/40/17.. i want good ones some sport ones.. please help me i need em asap.. thanks..
Toyo T1-R and T1-S are THE best tires i've used... they're expensive but worth it. Yokohama ES100s are #2 on my list. Most of the tires are equally sticky in dry, what sets them apart is how they perform in the wet, so look out for that.
I just burnt my tongue

well seeing that u have 40 sidewall and hitting potholes is what causes them to blow out...i recommend falken azenis 215/40/17...the sidewall would be a little bigger helping
Last time I had this much fun some furniture got broken!

I have Toyo proxes 4s and they are amazing tires. They are awesome in the dry, with huge grip. In rain they are great. In snow they are amazingly good (drove 2 times on snow with them, once was over 2" on the ground).
The treadwear is ok on them, but good compared to other high performance tires.
All around they are good in any situation. Good tire, good price, great value.

^its tough to say 40 series > 50 series tires. in this thread starters case, yes it does because he or she is blowing out tires left and right.
you definately dont want to run a 40 series tire if you want to avoid tire blowouts. for 17's, id personally go with 215/45/17 or 205/45/17 (if you can afford it, also less variety).
