Another wheel ?
Another wheel ?
Before anyone says anything I have already searched and was reading other threads, so with that said I have a few additional ?'s. I have recently purchased Rota 16x7 Circuit 10s with 45mm offset. I have put 205/45/16 size tires on them. I just put on my 02' EP3 yesterday and was driving around and noticed that whenever I turned usually left and usually not on a level surface that I would hear this clunking sound coming from the passenger rear side. So I drove a little slower and tried to take turns a little slower so this sound would not happen. Today I took the wheel off on the passenger rear and noticed that the noise was actuallly the little weight that they put on to balance the tire. You can see it was definetly rubbing, JUST the weight not the wheel and it only happened on the one side, the other side is fine. I put my finger in between the tire/wheel and I guess what is the A arm and it is pretty tight, I have since placed the stock 15" wheels back on and even them I can barely get my finger in between that space. On monday I plan to take the wheels back and have them balanced again this time using just the stick on weights instead of the clip ones. Hopefully that is all the clearance they need. ? is do you think this will be enough to take care of the problem or should I invest in a small wheel spacer for the back. I think if I understand the wheel spacers correctly they would just move them out further from hub i guess, if I would get a small one like 5mm do i need different lugs? Thank u in advance for any replys. These are the first wheels I ever bought and I didnt know it would get a little complicated.
