Brembo Conversion Completed!!!!
Brembo Conversion Completed!!!!
Well I decided to finally purchase my new rim/tire/brake setup for my EM2....I ended up going with the ITR Brembo Setup with Project Mu pads. The setup includes Rotor, Caliper, LCAs, Trailing Arms, and Earl's S.S. brake lines. Due to the widened track base and crazy offset needed for these, I picked up a set of TSX rims (spraying them black) with +55 offset. The rubber's on these are the Azenis 615 225/45/17, which shouldn't have too many issues with traction for street/touge use....I am going to temporarily run the BuddyClub N+ Dampers because new suspension is need as well....damn RSD's are sold out in America.....anyway, the ETA on the install is Tuesday the 28th....sooooo I'll update with pics on the ride after the install....

Sorry if any of the pics are HUGE!

Well guys....here is the halftime report. A.D.D. set in about 30mins. after the start of the install so the front setup has taken a few hours to complete. I have the camber set to full negative to ensure clearance of the fenders, but it will adjusted Friday with my alignment. Here are some of the pics....

Well here is the next update on the install....rear brakes are installed as well as the EP3 E-brake cables. All that is left is to install the front brake pads, install the RSX tie-rod ends, install a set of RSX front strut bolts, drain all the brake fluid (Add my Motul Brake Fluid), tighten all lines, inspection, roll the rear fenders, and then off to the alignment shop....so all the physical stuff is out of the way, but numerous little things must still be done. Can't wait to finish her up and get back on the road!
Well all 99% completion as of tonight....I just need to get an impact-gun for the tie-rod ends that were on there(Don't ask why I need the impact-gun). I need to replace those with the RSX ones because the em2's taper is too small. Anyway, all that is left for tomorrow is fender rolling, alignment, and installation of my new exhaust/header that happened to fall on my doorstep this afternoon....
Well here is the 3a.m. update....wow, thank God for coffee. Anyway, took her for a nice little test spin after the install. I need to bleed the brakes ALOT more to get rid of all those airpockets and of course, play with the height a little more. With what little brake pressure there is right now, they still felt much more even in braking. Much less front end dive than the stock drums....hopefully all these small issues will be taken care of tomorrow morning so I can post up some pics of her on the road. I'm off to bed now....
Chill out "DOHCtor", haha....I was gonna give the shout-outs after the completion. So with that said, thanks to everybody that assisted with the installation, which was mainly my buddies T(DOHCtor), Mc, Daniel, and Hector....without these guys I wouldn't have the Brembos on there.
As for the brakes....WOW....the pads have insane braking power and absolutely no fade from these calipers. Anyway, I should have some pics of her on the road once I paint the rims and adjust the height some more. Thanks guys!
