Tire Stem leaking...

ok i have 18" Toyo Proxes FZ4 tires and i noticed one of them was very low on air, and as i was putting air in it from my compressor i noticed that it is leaking from that area, now i know that those can be replaced but what about on low profile tires?? is it the same on those or not? also is it true that if a tire has a hole in it, it is useless??? on a low pro that is.....any info or links would be appreciated

just replace the valvestem core. Its replaceable on any rim. Walk into napa get the valvestem tool and some cores, should cost less than 5 bucks.
Just have air handy and jack the car up when you do it (the tire will fully deflate)

it has nothing to do with the tire. its the valve stem. inside it there's a core thats the valve with the little plunger that opens and closes. it threads into the valve stem. on it is a couple of o-rings. they wear out from time to time. I go through these things like underwear.... there's a reason a 5 pack is 2 bucks.
Just jack the car up, stick the tool in, remove the old core, put the new one in, refill the tire.
