it fits behind SOME 16s. Its dependent on the offset, the thickness and the arch of the spokes whether or not it clears. 17's are a sure fire fit, which is why they say to use 17s. I've seen it done with 16s once, I kid you not there was NO clearance between the caliper and the rim.

im not too sure of the offset of these wheels, they are from bsr racing i beleive, ive never heard of those but they were on the car when i bought it so whateva. im not too sure if it will work, is there a way to measure or should i just install and check if it fits or not?
i have 17s as well but i need tires on those Badly so i cant put them on at the moment.

the kit is very nice, this is my second set, however, I am not going with this kit anymore, Im going to go 15s with drag radials so these brakes will not work.
I had no ss lines and still love these brakes. I used them once with the aem pads but the aem pads wore out soooo quick that i never used the aem pads again.

I have 17x7 ADR spades and mt AEM big brake kit would'nt fit behind them so I had to get a set of spacers.

Here's 11.1" under a 16. Add another inch to that. if it does fit, you'll have no clearance.
Honestly I think the big rotor kit (because its not a big brake kit) is a complete waste of money. All it does is put a big heavy rotor in there, you don't gain any friction surface and it's $400 bucks every time you gotta replace the rotors.

the rotors are bigger than stock, I have measured them. I havent seen one that havent fit in a 16" rim. Im using hfp rim right now and last set I was using aftermarket wheels that had a inner cap and it still fit. I think they are a great advantage over stock. they arent worth 400 u can get used ones for like a 100..
you shouldnt need to use ur 17s so dont waste money on buying new tires unless you have to. 16s will be fine
you will notice a dramatic improvement in the rain if you got abs, I know I did.

spacers would work on 16's but it depends on the spokes on the rim

dont resurface it if u dont have too. Everytime you resurface them they will lose the pedal feeling. I resurfaced mine once buts that for 20+k miles. After I resurfaced them I had to press the pedal harder..
only do it if uneed to, otherwise leave them alone, also they will become clean when the pads rub against them for the first time just give it some time. I should show u how they fit on my 16s been rid ing like that for a while now. They fit alright just the cooling isnt all that great.. since there isnt much clearance.
