Extended Lug Nuts?
I was wordering what you guys thought of the RAYS or WORK Extended Lugnuts... I think they are a great idea for those of us who take our wheels off often to make sure dont scratch them.

They're utterly useless show parts. Maybe they make taking the wheel off easier, but so does a deep well socket w/ a power drill attachment.
If you have extended studs... maybe. But any open ended nut will work on an extended stud.

But Extended Wheel Studs are 120 bucks not to mention the price of having them pressed into the hub...

Well so then
1. Why bother?
2. its just something else to watch out for walking around your car to stick into your leg.
Unless the rules for whatever you're racing require extended studs, there's no reason whatsoever to use them. Save the money for something else.

You said...
which implies consideration to buy them.
Either way, its just for looks, there's really no point or honest to goodness functional advantage of having them.

they were super light!
but you really don't need them. iirc, you need them if your car is ridiculously fast at the track (10 second?)
