Problem With EVO C2

One of my EVO's is pealing, the wheels are only a year old and not cleaned with acid based products.

Has anyone else seen this happen before or have any suggestions of what to do.

Basically its just a shitty paint job from the factory. You can call Dazz motorsports and see if they're aware of a paint issue. They're probably going to deny it because of the money they'll lose replacing all the defective ones. If you're going to get them refinished (you can't clearcoat over peeling paint, you have to strip it all off), you may as well pony up the coin and powdercoat them.

It is only one wheel that Im having the problem on. I will give Dazz a call tomorrow and see what they say. I may just end up replacing the wheel. I dont know where I can just order the single wheel, everyone just sells the tire wheel pack. I also need 4 new twist on center caps, mine faded a lot since I have had the rims.

I see that all the time on RH EVO C2's. It makes me cringe since I have C4's. I just use soap and water on my rims. So far so good.

You can probably order just one rim (and the center caps) from Discount Tires. The only problem is that RH EVO line is discontinued; hopefull they still have stock, etc... I tried order a new center cap since some jerk took three of the allen screws off of it. It was on backorder for 45 days. Well, it's now been like 4 months and still nothing. Good luck.

I contacted DAZZ motorsports today and they had me take photos and send them in. I found a spot on another rim that looks like it is about to start peeling as well. They said they would look at the pictures and determine what they can do about it. I let them know the car has never been through a car wash and has never had any type of wheel cleaner put on them. I only use soap and water or simple green if all else fails.

It seems at 15,000 miles my car is going to pieces. I have to take it in for a steering problem. Something pops when turning the wheel to the left when at low speeds.

From 10000 to 20000 miles the car goes to hell. By 20000 it stops, because by then you'll be fed up with the fuggin dealer and start replacing **** yourself with parts that aren't ****.

Yeah, my dealer is never too helpful when it comes to things like that. Part of it is I'm 18 and they think they can tell me what to do.

The people at Dazz motor sports were real cool to me, not saying they are going to come through for sure. I told them it sounded like a paint defect and I would like to have them replaced and the guy said he would see what he can do. You can only hope a company would stand behind its product, but in most cases they don't. I let them know I dished out a pretty penny for wheels the first week I had my car expecting them to last a long time.

I hate to see my wheels peeling but I couldn’t imagine any other wheels on my car.

Honda better do their part too and fix whatever it is making that noise. I bought a new car for a reason, if something breaks naturally the dealer should fix it without questions asked.

After my car was lowered and rims were on it they told me that it would ruin my car. The civic they put in their showroom is lowered and has rims on it. (Go figure)

Oh well, I need 2 new rims and a steering problem fixed and im all happy again.

i emailed dazz and asked if they discontinued or will discont. the RH c2 evo line. they emailed back and said NO(c2 evo is their current wheel). this is the second time i heard this rumor, but i emailed and its not true.

maybe u should buy a couple so when they do discontinue them, ull have extras just in case....

^^^That's cool. Since the info came from DAZZ, I'll believe it. It's just for me, when I was pricing my C4's (and C2's) from 2 vendors here and 4 local shops, they all told me the same thing. I'm not one to spread rumors, but I got it from 6 seperate sources. Even when I went back to order the cap, Discount Tire's distributor told them the same thing. Basically, a vendor from here told me that they were discontinued since Racing Hart didn't want their name associated with cheap cast wheels (EVO line). Unless something recently changed, that the info I had.
