i used the tire calculater on the site and i was looking at 18''s and they when i was just punching different numbers they came out even with no differnece in tire rotation no speed differences
it said oem on the EX was 185/65-15
and i used the numbers 205/40-18 and they were identical sized on the outline thing
i was just wondering if they would be the same when u put them on the car for turning radius and would they have tire rub

the widest rim a 205 sized tire can fit on is 7.5" wide that i know of. im sure you can fit a 205 wide tire on a 8" wide rim, but it'd look pretty funny?
with 205 wide tire, it wouldn't rub. but with a thick sidewall (40 series), i think theres possiblity it could when turning. thats where if your dropped or not becomes a factor as well.

205/35/18 will work, but if you want to feel every bump in the road, be my guest. I got 225/40/18 on my civic and it rides real smooth. If you don't drive your car that much then that might be ok for you.
