Its by far better then the 215's, but its not quite up to the puddle fighting power of an allseason or a directional summer tire...

but like I said, its not the rain that gets them, its the puddles. I've found that the RT215 was almost as grippy when it was just slick out vs when it was dry.

fixeruper, your post makes it appear that you are implying that a Z rateing would indicate a better tire (Girppier) then an Non Z rated tire. Look at the post you are replying to, where the thread starter asks for ideas on sticky tires, and you reply about Azenis and Z rated all seasons....

Jack, if you're going to be driving in much show, stay away from the Potenza RE950. I love mine dearly, but they are just awful in snow. Take a look at the Yokohama Avid V4S. I think that might just be my next tire.

slightly high humidity, we have like 75-100 all of the time in summer during the day, except for when it about to storm!!!
Never been out west farther than denver and steamboat, hope to one day though.
supposedly the stock tire snow rating is worse than re950, and i have driven my car through as much as it can take, i love takin it to limit. we had a bad now storm, and i was one of the only cars out mostly jeeps and big trucks. I had to keep grabbing window wipers, pulling them back so they would smack against winshield, so tha some of the ice would fall off.

actually now that i think about it i should get a better season tire, because i plan on getting rims this winter, and using my stock rims for winter time. they may have worn down alot though by the time i get rims, i guess i will just play it by ear, get som good smmer/winter tires for now.

i got the bridgestone turenza's on my stock wheels for winter and they handle well, are decent in the snow and really well in the rain. i run a 195/60/15 i believe in those tires.

The Falken Ziex and Yokohama Avids are the only good suggestions so far.
I can't believe some of you recommending Falken Azenis! He says he wants something sticky but that wont wear too fast. Not many streettires are going to wear faster than the Azenis.

Do you need something all-season or no?
If so then

Yokohama Avid V4/H4
Falken Ziex 512
Continental Contiextremes

If you want summers then you've got ALOT to choose from
I would personally go with Nitto Neogens

I ended up buying potenza G009 because I found a deal at Mr. Tire, $370 including alignment, tax, everything, OTD, and I even got lifetime ire rotation.
