tire lump

I have a lump on the side of one of my tires. What is it and what can i do about it?

it's an impact break. Normally caused by hitting something like a pothole or in my case..an expansion plate on an overpass.

Get it replaced.

how long can i ride on it b4 servere will occur?

I wouldn't go very long if I were you. I had a high end Michelin on my car when it happened and I drove on it for about 2 weeks...it never got worse or caused problems but I shoulda replaced it sooner. I wouldn't feel safe on a lesser tire with that kind of dammage.
