Nankangs tires good or bad?

I read up on the Nankang NS2 tires and I get mixed reviews from you guys. Some say they're okay for the money, some say they suck, some say they are loud, others argue that they are quiet. I read a post that said that they didn't even last 10,000 miles! I don't know what to think. Overall, I'm getting a bad impression on these tires. I have Kumho Ecsta Supra 712's right now and I love them. The Nankangs come with a wheel package I'm looking to get, so I was just wondering whats up.

One of my friends had a set of Nankang tires he got from Discount Tire. I am not sure on the model. He called them Nankang "Maypops", since he replaced 3 out of 4 due to them being junk. He was not an aggressive driver by any means.

My motto is never go cheap with tires. Think about it, it's the only part of your car that is in actual contact with the road.

I definitely agree. But they're the same price as Kumho Ecsta's, and the Kumhos are awesome for the price of the tire. Anyway, I've decided that I won't risk getting these tires. I'll just get my 3rd set of Kumhos.

I have those on my car now, they came w/the rim package. I've been having them for almost a year now, haven't had a problem. About the road noise, they are kinda loud when you first have them, after while it goes away.....or maybe I got used to it lol.

There not bad. Yes they are a bit loud. Probably as loud as azenis. The grip isnt too bad for how long the tire lasts. But overall there not that good of a tire. I would pay a little more and get something better

I bought the Hankook Ventus Sport K104 and i love them, not loud at all and make the car corner alot better than my stock tires. Although they are $125 a piece. Worth it though. I wouldn't go cheap on tires though, your tires are what keep your car on the road and you alive. Can't go wrong with, Pirelli, Yokohoma, Nitto, Falken, Kumho, Goodyear.

Ones i don't recommend are: Nankang, Dunlop, Wanli

i have the nankang ns2 215-35-18, had them for about 5000 miles, tread looks new and at first they were a little loud but now they are quiet. ride is good too. you can't beat a new set of 18" tires for $360 shipped.

How do they grip? I tend to take my corners, on/off ramps, and loops pretty quickly, so I need something that won't slip out. My Kumho's grip sooo much, it's unbelievable. I should just get another set then.
