any reviews for these tires?

what do people think of the BFGoodrich Traction T/A H?
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes

or bridgestone potenza RE950?
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes

im looking for a daily driver tire (185/60/14 or 195/60/14 size). looking for high performance in the dry, a sticky tire in the corners and something that handles well (i drive fast and i like to take corners aggressively). want good performance in the rain. theres also a chance of driving in the snow as im not sure i will be able to get separate rims for winter/summer. so the hankooks might be eliminated for this reason. but this is what i need. if anyone has other suggestions, please chime in.

not too concerned w/ tire noise, im in a convertible...i wont hear them anyway haha. nothing too soft, i kind of want them to last for more than 10k miles. cant change tires every 6 months.

so...anyone?

The Hankook Optimos are touring tires so I wouldn't recommend them if you want to drive your car hard without too much worries.

The R-S2 is a new tire I think.
Probably handles well but also probably won't last you long.

The Traction T/As would be the one I'd get since there is pretty good reviews from people who drive their car hard on TireRack.
Plus you can't beat the 60,000 miles you are supposed to get from them.

thanks man.

ok, i edited the choices. its now between the traction T/a and bridgestone potenza RE950s. same size, 195/60/14. there is quite a price difference, but ive been seeing a lot more people w/ the potenzas on their miatas (from the miata site) than the potenzas...and im wondering why. the dry traction and snow traction on the BFGoodrich tire is better rated, but tirerack rated the potenzas slightly better in the wet, but it was close.

im just wondering, is that worth the extra cost or are they pretty much the same quality?

I have Traction T/A's now. They are great, a little noisy but you get used to it. Potenza's would be much quieter and are aazing in wet. I did an autocross course with the potena's on a wet track and they rocked. For daily I'd say T/A's. Excellent mileage warranty too.

I replaced the OEM tires on my wife's sedan with the Traction T/As and they made a HUGE difference. Her biggest complaint about the car was she did not feel safe in wet weather with the OEM tires. After switching to the Traction T/As, no more complaints! They handle well, last a long time and best of all, they are reasonably priced. I'd highly recommend them.

I completely disagree. My factory tires were Firestone Firehawks and they were much noisier than the Traction T/A's I replaced them with. Also, I feel much safer in the rain AND snow. On top of that, I can feel a difference when going around curves in the road and such. I love my T/A's....almost as much as T & A.

I have the Traction T/A's(195/65/14) on my daily driver. I've driven them in all weather(dry, wet, and snow) They've been on there for over 25,000 miles. They are far superior to the factory Dunlops. Excellent traction, and the wear has been fantastic; partly due to me rotating them every 5000 miles.

Ive found you get what you pay for to a certian extent. Go read tons of reviews on the tire but ususally a more expensive tire is better.
I have Toyo Proxes 4's and they are amazing for a civic.
In another thread we discussed how Proxes 4s would hold back an Evo 8 but for a civic its more than enough.

re950

I have teh potenza re950 ( 195/60 r15) and I love them. Very nice traction in the wet and handle great all around. nice and quiet too. Can't beat the price on them too. They just had a deal that you receive a $75 mail in rebate on the purchase of 4 tires. They may still have it going.

I have Falken 512's on my 15's and they are more than enough grip for a civic. Excellent daily driver tire, ride good, grip good, and yet have good wear.

never tried traction T/A and never loved bridgestone potenzas. if u have the money and want really good tires go with Pirelli Pzero Nero if they have it in your size. you will not hate em. other than that sorry not given much info on both
