5 Lug to 4 Lug
I'm wanting to know if they make a 5 lug to 4 lug conversion, my nephew is doing this for his 92 Nissan Maxima, he wants to convert his 5 lug to 4. Anyone know if they make these and do you know where they sell them?

I cannot possibly imagine why the hell you'd want to do that, but I'm trying to think if any cars would have compatable hubs with a maxima. Try a 240SX or Altima I guess, they were both 4x114 in the early 90s, but this sounds pretty dumb if you ask me. Why would you change a car to 4 lug?

He wants these wheels a neighbor is selling, she had them on a 2003 civic, they are gun metal, she only wants $300 for wheels and tires, and she paid 900 for them. Just trying to help him out.

I'm not understanding why though, these are a steal, if he could convert them it would be very nice.
Yea but converting his hubs over will cost more than his car! I got my rims from www.rim1.com off ebay for 270.00 shipped he has 5 lug 4 lug gun metal, they are out of texas and hes a real good ebayer I bid on 5lug not looking at the auction and he got me the rims I wanted anyways so you might want to lead em here!!!
ps. dont look at the pricing on his sight goto ebay and look up rim1!

Just go buy rims that fit 5x114 hubs... theres 945056734890172 of them. Take the money he would have wasted on switching the hubs and buy better wheels.

I'll just reiterate. Not worth it. What your friend can do is buy the rims, sell them for a profit and buy rims that will fit...
is that less logical? Otherwise it would be too much work and energy wasted...
wait, I just said what that guy said^^

I don't think they're in it for weight reduction and better performance.
Unless these rims are a pair of 18" BBS RG-Rs, I don't think its worth doing the conversion when you can get a brand new set of rims for cheaper.

You'd be better off just taking the spare tire out.

boilermake1, i'm not even buying them, i'm trying to help out my nephew, if it was me i would get different wheels just to make it easier.
cool. its easy to do a 4 to 5 lug conversion... all you have to do is get a lug some supper glue and a attach it to your rotor, wheel the wheel on lock it up and your good to go. Also dont let the superglue dry.. its not goood for the wheel. remember to slow down over pot holes in case of emeregency.
