Question Question: Wheel fitment

All,

I was told that a 17x8 and 47 offset wheel w/tire will fit a 2001 EM2 without rubbing or a need for modification. Is this true? I want to get 17x8 if possible for more tire surface but I'm not 100% positive that our wheel well are deep enough. Plus, the offset at 47 seem a bit high.

Anyone have any insight to this claim?

Thanks

17x8 might fit, but not with a 47 offset. Try more like 35-38. Yes, they're gonna stick out the sides a little.
