heeelppppp!!!
i have a problem guys, this is what happened. i was repalcing my pads and everything was goin well...i followed grey's diy
and eevrything was goin so well...anyways this is the bad part.....i was almost done and i was tightening the top screw (the one that holds the caliper together...then it was half way in then it just snapped...leaving half the screw inside the bolt...(i dont know if anyone knows which one im talkin about but it's about 2 and half to 3 inches long and gold in color...
but yah so half of the screw is stuck inside. needless to say i need another screw to replace the one that was snapped.
so for my first question about the screw...
1...can i still take out the screw inside the bolt...can i drill it out? or get someone else to...???
2...how much will it cost?!
3...does any other shop like auto parts or canadian tire...any store aside from the dealer carry the screws to replace the old one?! or can i get something similar.???
about the bolt where the screw is stuck in...
after i drill out the srew can i still use it!? assuming the thread is still fine...
does any other store aside from the dealer carry them as well or can i only get them at a honda dealer?!...
has anyone done up their breaks themselves and everything's fine...
i mean just as long as you follow the instruction it should be right?!...
thanks guys for all ur help...

U can drill it out, but i wouldnt reccomend it unless u have done A LOT of driller out of bolts b4, cause u dont wanna drill to deep. it probably wont cost that much to get done, id just take it to honda and let them do it. Also, i DOUBT any place like canadian tire will have a specialty bolt like that lieng around, go to honda they wont cost that much, or if u are that cheap, try an auto wrecker. and NOOOOo u cant reuse a bolt after u drill it out. id just take it to honda, tell them ur problem let them do it. Its better to be safe than sorry, brakes are NOT an area u want to have **** up cause u got cheap/lazy.

If its a bolt in the caliper... then just go buy another caliper. Its far safer than trying to ghetto job it into working. I guess first try and grab the stub with a pair of vice grips and see if you can get it to come back out. If you can then chase the threads and put a new one in, but if it broke flush, just go get a new caliper. If its the bolt that holds the caliper to the hub..... well then you're gonna need to get it out. Try a bolt extractor or something, but good luck getting it to bite.... thats a hardened bolt.
