Which to get. I saw 17's on my car my friend has the same color and all of my model. But they looked almost a bit small compared the the car itself. I was wondering if 18 would be too big, I always thought it was but again I always figured 17 was the prime number. anyone wanna help?

Rep Power: 258 It depends on what your going for if you want something kind of big and flashy get the 18's for that bling bling baller look..but if you want performance and the choice is between the 17's and 18's get the 17's.

Rep Power: 252 17's are a all around safe side of sizing imo. they arent small either, it depends on the way you look at it. if you look at a car dumped on 17's than compare it to a car dropped only 1" on the same wheels, of course its gonna look better on the lower vehicle.
i say go 17" IMO.
-tires are cheaper
-resell value of 17" rims are easier to sell than 18's (since some think 18s are too big)
-great all around size, mostly for a civic.
theres more to it, but i dont wanna state a debate lol. bt 18s have their good side

Rep Power: 0 Thanks everyone. I always figured that a 17x7 with 215-45-17 was the best tire as well, it won't hang over and with potholes and rough roads occasionally the ride would be softer a bit. Eventually the car will be dropped 1" if at all depending on the body kit (BuddyClub II). But maybe it was the tires and the type of rim. The ones I want are Racing Hart CR, the one-piece with the silver lip. Such a nice looking wheel.

Rep Power: 559 i had 17s and the ride was pretty harsh even w/o a drop (i dropped a year after i first got my rims). my CDs skipped over cracks in the road. if you want a somewhat comfortable ride, go w/ the 17s, if you really dont care then get the 18s. if you actaully want better peformance, go w/ 16s. you can get stiff sidewalled tires so they wont shift as much in hard cornering and the extra rubber will cushion the bumps better. plus the wheels themselves will be lighter.
any rim will look small if the car is stock height. if you lower it by an inch or 1.5 it will look MUCH better w/ 17s.

Rep Power: 247 thats what i have 215/35/18, i was drivin by a construction area when i first got those tires and there was a hose or something in the road? and i drove over it, i thought somethin fell out from under my car it was so loud and bumped hard. but im sure it woulda been loud in any other car.
but i dont mind any other bump i feel, i hardly notice it, so to me it dont seem too bad at all.
edit: ya better put terrorific...16s & under performance, 17s daily, 18s & up show

Rep Power: 0 Nah, it will definitely be 215-45, the guy at the shop said that anything under 45 in our area and your asking to dent a rim or just get problems all around. I am a sales rep so I do a ton of driving. Take this week, I filled my tank up yesterday afternoon and already have 200 on the car by this afternoon, lol.

Rep Power: 0 I have 205-40-17, and I wish I had originally got 45. You will be much happier if you have any bumps or potholes in your town. When I put my struts/springs on, it got hella stiff, but just look out for bumps and potholes. They arent that bad. My friends 98 civics drive soooo nice with 205/40/17. They could be 215 though, I forget.
