Widest Tires

Whats the widest tire that will fit on our cars with a 16x7 rota with 40 offset.
I know 205 is ideal and i have seen 215 but what about a 225?

I have tein s tech so it isnt that huge of a drop, you sure the rear fenders would eat up the tire....i could always get the rear ones rolled

It will fit but rub you in all the wrong places

225 will mount on a 7" rim but the tire wil be wider than the rim. This is ok if you are doin the 1/4mi but will rub on the sidewall and inner fender when you turn.

Just get some super soft 205 or 215, they will stick like 225.

I have 235-45r18 and if you hit a speed bump, or drive with anybody in the back seat, I'm rubbing rubber .... on a 16 with a decent drop, the 225 should be ok ...

I may just try them and if im rubbing on the back fender well i can just get the little 3/4inch lip rolled down
And for getting a super soft tire, i dont really want that because i do alot of high way driving every week so i need a tire that will last some time.
