20"s TWENTYS
ok, so Motegi make a the dp12 with a +42 offset 4x100&4x4.5 bolt pat. 20"x7.5"rim......is there any reason that could not be fit to our cars?
I know ride will suck but I would save my 17"s for the track and winter and just use the 20"s for shows and cuising the strip.
I would only like people with experience to give advice....thanks
The thubnail is what would be my car with the rims put on

someone should stfu if there not going to post anything helpful.
theirs a member here with a 7thgen red coupe thats rocking konig prophets* 20" chrome. they were also 4x100 pattern and they seem to fit fine for him/her. im assuming you would need to adjust your camber all around so it tucks inward the fenderwells so the tire/wheel wont rub against your fenders since the overall diameter is huge.
IMO, 20's and factory bumpers look odd. i would really think about it before purchasing 20s... 1) tires cost a lot, 2) cost more than 19's, 3) definately dont belong on a civic?

But yeah, i doubt you can even do a U-turn with such big diameter rims/tires, I think the only way to fit them is if you have negative camber which will kill your tires and 20's aren't cheap.

u might as well just buy chrome rims if ur goin wit 20's. if these are going to be "show" rims, you gotta go wit somethin different than motegi. you have to get NICE rims and rims people really dont see.

As a person who shows my car a lot, I agree on getting something that is not seen often on the streets and what not. 20s might be a nice idea, but there's a lot of work to be done to get them to tuck. I have a few people i know that have 20s on their civics (older generations). As far as points go, you might get a point or 2 extra if you had 20s as opposed to 18s, but it's not that big of a difference. Judges will be more impressed if you had different dished rims and what not. At least that's how it is over here in So Cal with the show scene. Whatever you decide on...good luck. And if you're debating about going into the show scene. Unless you're going to be 110% percent commited, then just save your money and time. It's a very addicting habit and it makes you really competetive. I went into the scene with 17s, a kit, some minor fix ups, and the competition drove me to go widebody, custom paint, custom audio, lambo doors, etc. Where will it stop? till my pockets can't give anymore. ha ha. Good Luck.
may be i came off a little rude, sorry bout that. personally i think 20's are to big, not meant to be put on the car. I think it would stand out to much and look out of place. for the money spent on nice 20's you could get some really nice 18's, find something no one has or very few people have, get some volks from overseas that are only offered overseas and in a certain color. Find something rare.
another thing since your into show and track, sell your 17's and buy a nice set of 18's for show, and then a really light set of 15's for the track. thats what id do. but then again i was supposed to stfu... so now im owned... i still think someone should slap you

Hey, again ....lol....never said I was getting motegi's....even though I have um now.....my favorite rim is the axis neo, and so far I cant find a rim like that in 20" for our cars........so 19"s may be the wheel by default
I have to say thanks..... Im getting advice from all my favorite vic owners, InOvAtStyL, BlackBullet, XTREME2K2CIVIC, and the undisputed king of rims, rijowysock

OK.....I think you've convinced me.....mostley cause I know you hate little wheels and youve had more pairs of 19"s on your car than anyone here.
Ok big question, for all the guys with 19's.......can you still rip around once and a while with 19's?..........I mean I set up my suspension with as much over steer as posible so I can crank it through corners and clover leafs and I go through rubber like its going out of style.......are 19's gonna put a total end to all that?.....I know its not going to help my handling, but is all the fun over and done with, is my true question......cause if it is, I would take my 19"s off for driving and then theres no point in not getting 20's

i have more fun on 19's then i ever did on smaller... keep all ur settings and ust have fun.. once i FINALLY get my flex on ima adjust my susp more towards oversteer than understeer.
my fav tire.... and ive had them ALL is the nitto neogen..
nitto 555-sucks ...i cant explain why they just SUCK
pzero are nice but too thick
yoko parada spec2= tooooo wide rubs out like a bitch...plyus wears too quick
dunlop-last like 5000miles
falken azeni-ride like gold.. wear tooo fast
toyo proxy4--nice tires right up w/ nitto but their unidirectional.(not good for rotations)
BFG KDW2 rock but idk.. we dont have enuff HP to satisfy them and price is kinda steep..
go w/ nitto neogen..
if you want some sick 19's contact me and i'll hook it up w/ nitto neogen. ;-)

I must agree...the Neo Gens are def. tires you should look into getting. Those tires are the best I've had. They also give a good look if you're planning on doing the show scene. The Neo Gens give a lot of attention to detail and for that, it's an amazing tire.

I heard of this stuff that changes the colour of your car in a magazine once, think it was called paint, or magic colour changing liquid or somthing.
