falken wheels
has anyone heard anything about falken wheels?? good, bad, or otherwise??
i know they are ugly but they are relitivly (sp?) lite and they are cheap, so when i slam them into crubing and cones i won't care.

The one set I've actually seen on a car just looked downright heavy. I don't know the weight specs on them, but if they're 13 lbs or less for a 15" wheel, why the heck not?

edgeracing.com says the hanabi's weight 11 lbs for a 15x7 and at $110 a wheel thats not to shabby. i am also looking at the kosei k1 (13.6lbs) or the rota slips in 15x7 (like 13 lbs). their all like the same price so i'm not to sure which to go with. i wanted the kosei k1 ts but i won't have the cash for those.

If you make a wheel out of a better material and design it right, you can make it super light and still have it be super strong. The reason they come out so heavy is that rather than trying to make it stronger through design, they're making it stronger through adding material.
Cost, weight, strength
2 of them come out high, only one of them comes out low

Eh... not the best looking wheel out there... BUT its a 15X7 and weighs 11lbs and only costs $110.... It could be pink and Id's probably still like to have a set.

I don't think it's that bad looking.
edit - everything except the hanabi is ugly, tho. The Koblenz might be ok. But the first one on that page... the Atlantic City... yuck.

It looks like a toned down version of the GSR blades...blah. I agree with spencer though. I think I might powdercoat my K1's pink! thanks spencer

I am always late to the relevant threads.... I think I am going to be buying these rims from edgeracing and running them on Kuhmo MXs unless any opinions on these wheels have developed in the last couple of months since this thread was started....? They seem to be the best value out there, despite their ugly looks.
two in the pink, one in the stink.
i remember seeing a red 7thgen coupe on those falken rims robbclark1 posted. it was in 15's and silver i believe. if i spot it, ill post it here. had fat tires and no drop though
