What to use to take rust off chrome rims?

Hey guys,

My bf has some 22inch chrome rims he's trying to sell around town and asked me to post this question:

What do you recommend to take rust off wire wheels? He's got 22inch chrome wire wheels that has rust on them. If you know of a good product sold at AutoZone or Wal-Mart, please post. Thanks so much!

A friend of mine used to use industrial acetone to take surface rust off his chrome exhaust tips. Worth a try, but I'd test the back surface of the rim before I put it on the face. It took the rust off, but I won't guarantee the finish won't haze.

Back when I had a chrome exhaust tip, I used Chrome Polish to remove rust spots from all the rock chips. Worked great. I can't remember the brand though.
