oh yeah ... I'm gonna be running dc5-r suspension ... so it'll stick out about an inch or so farther ;P
I would -think- +48 would be ok since the dc5-r stock wheels are +60 (and it it fits perfectly with dc5-r suspension on an em2)

hehe no thanks ... I'm looking for acceleration (and brembo calipers only work for 17"+)
19x8's fit? which offset? ... if 19x8's fit, I'm sure 17x8's fit ...

yeah ... I used to have 225/50/16 tires on 16x7.5 w/ a +42 offset ... man, those were SO close to rubbing in the back ... like 1 cm away from the strut thing. if my car wasn't aligned properly, then it would have rubbed like crazy.
hoping for 17x8 (+48 or +42 offset?), 235 (or 245)/40/17 when I get my dc5r suspension in

18x8 with less of an offset will work I wanna say around +38 or so. +42 or +48 will make them rub the inside of the wheel well with truecoilovers, and will most likely make the wheel and/or tires hit the spring purch on stock suspension (also rub the inside of the wheel wells when turning).
