1996 HX Rims

Hello all, I recently picked up some 96 HX rims. They are stock 14 inch alloys. The stock tire size is 185/70-14. I was told I could put 195/60-14 on them. What is the widest tire do you guys think I could put on this rim safely and cost effectively? I do not need all season, just summer/rain tires. Thanks!

I'd say 205/65 would be ok, 20 mm isn't going be that big of a difference.
