5Zigen w/tires for $800? Hello everyone,
This guy is selling me a 16x7 5Zigen wheelset for $800 shipped. The rims, even though they are not brand new, look to be in great condition, and according to him they've been on his car for only 1k miles. He also mentioned that only 1 tire is kind of worn out. Lets say that I'd have to buy 2 new tires. WOULD THIS STILL BE A GOOD DEAL? I'm not an expert when it comes to wheels that's why I'm turning to you guys. Thanks for the help in advance.

I don't think its a crazy deal if the wheels are cast. It was recommended to me, to get 15 x 7.

Thanks Nindo, that helped. I'll ask him. He says there's plenty of tread life on the other three tires. It's just one that's kind of worn, but it's still good, according to him.

Rep Power: 304 If one tire is worn out, youll have to chage the one on the opposite side of it as well.
BTW there probably not forged but if they are its a very good deal. Still on civics 15 inch is the way to go. i've seen rota slips with tires shipped for 800 from one of the vendors on this site.

Ok, so I take it that cast is better then. Is this like a stronger or more durable alloy?
Why would you go with 15 inches rims? Are you trying to maintain a JDM look or is it because of less weight or a better performance?

Rota makes cast copies of Mugen forged racing wheels.
Forged are really expensive.
The metals that are cast cannot be forged, because they will crack. Cast are heasted and melted into a cast to take shape. The metals that are forged are ductile, and are hammered and hit into form.

Lol at myself. That tells you how much I know about that. Hopefully these will be forged and not cast. Thanks bro. 
The bolt pattern on these wheels he's selling is 4x100. Every website I went to compare them, I see that these 5Zigen have 10 holes and they are not oval, but instead all the holes are round. His wheels have 8 holes and 4 are oval. Would one be able to tell by this pattern if they are cast or forged?

Rep Power: 338 i have the same rims...... 16x7. It's an ok deal, what type of tires are on it? you get 1 tire, lets say $80, $15-$20 for mounting and balancing... up to you really... not a great deal but not bad....

yea if the other 3 are still good, see if u can match them, then u'd only have to buy one, if its only 1k miles, I dont see a problem just replacing one if u can match it..

Rep Power: 0 Damn. I wish I saw this earlier. I just sold my 17inch 5Zigen MK5's for $300 with tires. I basically gave those things away. Wish I could of hooked up a fellow 7th gen'er. IMO that price is too much for used wheels and tires. i would rather go with a brand new spankin rim package for only 100 bucks more. be patient and look around. You will deffinately find a better deal. And for around that price range? A better rim

OK, let's put it this way, for $800... pay about $50 more and you get brand new tires and rims (same rim size and same rim) from discounttire.
