Powerslot Rotors on Civic?
Powerslot Rotors on Civic?
I had a set for my 94 Saturn and they worked awesome, braking was soooo much better the car would stop wicked quick. I was considering putting them on my Civic next spring. I have heard that cross-drilled can occasionally crack and that even though you are gaining venting, you are losing braking surface for the pads. Any opinions? Anyone have Powerslot?

I have the dimpled/slotted rotors... I dont know how good they are cause they are my first aftermarket rotors but, I stop well with hawk street pads

slotted or cross drilled is mainly for looks(daily driving)...the pads of today dont needs these rotors anymore (cause they dont produce gas like before)...go with a good blank like brembo or raybestos with vsm technology...save your money for a better pads...dumb the fluid and go with valvoline synpower dot 4...and remember that the tire is the most important thing in braking...some people makes me laugh with theirs big brake kits on touring tires...speed is a question of balance...
He is right on the aspect that most pads do not need slots to cool down but, running under hard conditions, it may help some. As well, I would recomend using ATE Blue or the Motul600 fluid. Works great on my Si all disc brakes!
