Vibration from wheels?

Hey everyone, I have some 17" Rated R wheels w/ Khumo tires for a while now I have been getting a vibration that comes through my steering wheel from my wheels. I actually always keep them balanced and rotated and I still feel this vibration. I have curbed both front wheels, so could I have possibly messed up the berings? Also, when I let off the wheel on a flat surface, my car veers over to the right which hints towards the differentials. Does anyone have an idea specifically on why my car does this?

Ah, balanced and rotated? No insult, but are they running in the proper direction? Most Kumos have directional arrows.

Well if your car is veering to the right when you let off the steering wheel, then you need an alignment. But also check to see if the wheels are properly inflated. That can also cause it to veer off to the right or left.

We'll I brought it to discount tire since I get free rotation and balance, so I would have to say yes since this is what they do. They are inflated properly as well.

You might want to try and get them balanced at a different shop .. First time I got some rims on my car for the 1st year I had a vibration in the steering wheel between 110km/h - 120km/h. I kept going back to them repeatedly about 3 times and they rebalanced them on their machine, added centering rings etc ... all to no avail.

The next season I got them rebalanced at a different shop and it (the vibration) magically disappeared.

Altho since you mention that you curbed your car etc .. maybe its a larger problem ... keep us posted on what happens.

I know two people who have gone to a local tire place here, they have the same tires too, just diff speed ratings, and the tire place here cant do anything right, the tires are directional, and they put them on wrong, I think they might have been inside out too, im not certian, they do bad balancing too, and overall they just suck and have no idea wut they're doing, makes me wonder how their name is so common and everyone knows of them, maybe the other work they do is better.. you can always just go look at your tires... see for yourself

how much damage are on the rims? There is a point where the rim cant be fixed now matter how much balancing, how many weights you put in there... it's just not doable

Thats true. You can balance an oval shaped rim with a lot weight. But when you put it on your car it's still gonna be oval. When you get then balanced again, ask if you can come and see the wheels spin on the balancer. Look to see how badly it wobbles up, down, side to side. A bit is normal. Also make sure they tape weights on the inner edge and the outter edge, not just in the middle. It's more dynamically acurate. A really good shop can hide the outter weights behind spokes, a better shop will match mount them for you.
