Drag Wheels - DR-9 / 17lbs - Durability?

I just purchased a set of 18" Drag DR-9 Wheels (Gunmetal Grey), which are only 17lbs. My question is, has anybody here had any experience with Drag Wheels, and/or the brand new DR-9's and there durabilty?

I know that less metal has to be used to produce a lighter wheel, how are they able to do this without sacrificing the durability of the wheel? It seems that the heavier wheels may offer better protection against large pot holes, warping, and/or bent wheels because of more metal.

Does anyone know what process Drag Wheels use to manufacture the DR-9?

Thankx in advance.

P.S.
I will have a picture of my 2k2 Civic Coupe up on my gallery later this week I hope. Peace.

you want more tire for drag racing, get some 15 inch steelies or some aluminum 15s. 18 is way too big for any racing in a civic.

Hey Thanks for replying. I am talking about Drag brand wheels, not drag racing. Drag wheels can be seen at this website www.dragwheels.com
