Hey guys I'm still riding on stock steelies but recently I noticed that my front wheels get warm/very warm to the touch depending on how much I drive. Is this normal for our civics?
Everything else seems fine, no porblem braking or anything. Any input?

Yup its normal.... your wheels act as heat sinks for your brakes, desipating part of the heat they make....

Thanks for the reply. Good to know cause it got me a bit worried. To tell you exactly how it is it's warm when you touch then if you hold your hand gets actually a bit hot. That's still normal right? (not the heat transfer from metal to hand but the wheel being hot). This is right after driving and lots of braking.(I live in NYC).
Also, the rear wheels always stay cool.

My rear tires make the burnt rubber smell after I drive at 60-70mph for about 10 minutes. This can't be normal.

Check your alignment, you may have too much toe in or toe out.... you'd be scrubbing the hell out of the tires = More heat + extra tire wear.

one word of advice, dont touch the lug nuts. I did that once (out of stupidity) and burnt the finger.

Don't be too surprised if they get hot... the rims are a heat sink for the brakes, and friction on the tires makes them heat up... I've come off the track with tires at 165 and the rims over 230 degrees.
