fwd and rwd rims
fwd and rwd rims
this really has nothing to do with my 7thgen but i've always been curious about the difference between rwd and fwd rims
my first car before the civic was a GMC sonoma (same as chevy s-10) and i had some dubs on it but i paid soooo much money for them
the thing is tho i found a lot of affordable rims with the EXACT same lug pattern as the sonoma's but everytime i called to make an order the companies would dissapoint me and say that the rims were for fwd cars only
what is it that makes this so? i mean could i have just ignored the salesperson and ordered them anyways and slapped them on my old truck since the pattern was the same? or would it not have worked?

i dunno about truck rims for cars and car rims for trucks....but if the bolt pattern matches up i don't see a problem? and i doubt they have anything called fwd wheels and rwd wheels....like specifically that!
my guess is that it has something to with the cars bolt pattern. seems like the tuner companies base their wheels on most fwd cars that tend to use a 4-lug pattern? (honda/acura/toyota/etc).
maybe its just a catergory for easy accessibility? theirs catergories like chrome/size/width/pattern and i guess some joker thought of adding fwd/rwd as a catergory to gain attention or fame for it.

it could hafta do with the width and offset of the wheels, check those out to make sure they'll fit and the vehicle will have the same stance, you dont want to end up using car wheels that will sit way too far in under the fender on your truck...
