Problem with brakes

Ok I haven't been here for a while.

If you guys remember I bought brembo blanks and axxis ultimate a while back and installed them.

1. I totally forgot what website it was and if any of you remember I would greatly appreciate it. I think it was import something. Not Sure

2. I am getting vibrations from braking. It is the oddest thing. I don't know if it is the caliper, which I had a problem with back then, or what. I know back when I had my stock brakes I would get vibration but that was because of over heating due to hard braking. This time I have the brembo's which don't do that. I am not sure what it is any advice I would greatly appreacite it.

Only happens when I am driving and I start braking. Even when the car is going to come to a stop the car is slumping while it is braking. You feel like a bouncing movement. Thanks

Sounds like Runout in the rotor (It happens) Get them Turned and you'll be golden. (about $6 per rotor)

Runout is caused by glazing or friction material and resins which are applied unevenly to the rotor as you brake. People commonly mistake this for brake disc warping. Brake disc warping is much more rare than people think it is. Common cause for runout is cheap brake pads, incorrect torquing of wheels, or hard braking and resting the hot brake pads in one position on the rotor (at a dead stop). You can check for runout using a runout gauge. This measures the amount of unevenness of your rotors or the tendancy of the wear pattern on the rotor to cause wear or a wavy pattern on the surface of the rotor. This condition can usually be rectified by turning the discs to make them true again. Honestly, I've used cheap rotors before and I have never had a problem with runout or warpage, so in my opinion, they're fine for a daily driver.

ohhh, and in my 18? years of turning wrenches, ive seen maybe a dozen brake rotors that had runout brand new out of the box. Its rare but possible..........

same problem

i have aem big brake hit on my car and i get the same thing, AEM says that when you mount the rotors if there is any dirt on the hub it will cause the feeling, i cant confirm though, i havent got around to pulling them off yet, either that or the rotors could be warped, that also happened to me with aem system, drove like a maniac in the rain and hit a big puddle and they warped on me

Alot of times when companies ship rotors out, they will be dropped and what not which cause them to warp. I had this problem with my last set of brembo blanks. The second I put them on, I got alot of shaking when I braked. Well after awhile I called tirerack where I got them and told them my problem, and we talked with a brembo rep and he said to send them back and order new ones and they will credit my account. What you can do is call the place you got them from and tell them your situation and if they work with you, you might be able to get a new pair, less shipping and handling charges.

correct, and most every reputable drum/rotor manufacture will warranty against runout out of the box. But as stated about the dirt behind the rotor flange, usually its rust buildup not dirt that causes the problem. the best way to minamize runout is with a dial indicator, and check the runout at the 4 different posistions on the hub to obtain the smallest amount of runout. And to also check the hub its self for runout.
