I'm trying to do the same thing. I've got Motegi 18's with 225/40/18 tires. I haven't dropped mine yet so I can't help you but, do your tires hang at all past the outside lip of the wheel. Or are they flush???

Just make sure you don't go with too low of an offset. I'm running 215/40s on a 18x7.5 42mm offset and I'm fine with Goldlines, 1.75" drop.

i have 18 inch rims on my civic (sacchi, not motegi), not lowered, and it's a pretty close shave as it is. Mine is a 2001 sedan.

It's gonna be a close call! Im about to get some 18's too! But Im deabting whether to drop it or not! I dont particularly like the way the car looks when someone is driving down the street. I dont like the way it bounces up and down like a rabbit. I like the way my stock suspension rides and feels. Its your call though!
