Question Brake Pad Wear Indicator Question

I bought a set of oem brake pads and i'm planning to install them myself. But there's something i don't understand: I know that the pad with the wear indicator should be placed on the inner side of the rotor, but what about its position, should it be up or down?

well the pads can only go in one direction. They are usually at the top of the inner rotor piece. So yes the inner side of the rotor. It is usually on the top.

I don't think so! If at one wheel you place the inner pad with its wear indicator facing upward, and you take the same pad and position it at the other wheel's inner side, the wear indicator will face downward.

I'm asking this because my old pads were used up on the opposite side of the W.I (i.e more pad material left at the W.I than at the other end) and i forgot to look which way it was installed.

The pads should be marked at what sides they go on. Just follow that.
