The only time you would have a rubbing issue, would be when turning really hard one way.

You're going to put a 225, soft sidewalled ziex 512, onto 6.5" spoon rims?

^Sounds like he's doing a daily driver setup with those all-seasons though, not straightline grip. My g/f has 205/60/15s on 6" with a soft sidewall and it's not worth it IMO. Steering has gone to hell and the sidewall roll is annoying, I'll take my 195/60/15s with stiff sidewalls anytime. Even Tirerack recommends 195s on 7" wide 15s, that's my 2c.

He's asking if they will fit, not the ride quality.

I trying to help in case he wasn't aware of the consequences. You don't know that a 225 won't rub unless you know the offset and width of the wheel BTW. If it's for the spoons listed in his profile, you're right, probably won't rub unless he's turning.

how bout on the 99'00 si rims? Ive seen people do 205/55 or even 205/50. Is that too wide and affect handling? I was thinking of goin 205/55 but if it affects daily driving I might jsut go 195/60

Ok here is what im looking for i live in vegas so wet traction not to important but would like some wet performance. But am looking for a good to very good grip tire with decent tread wear. looking to get at least 20,000-15,000 mi out of them, and on the sidewall issue would like a stiff sidewall if possible cant seem to find many choices in 15"

Do you want an all season or a summer tire then? Is your rim width 6.5"?
Those Ziex 512's are great all seasons, but have a relatively soft sidewall. My bridgestone potenza re950s have a very stiff sidewall, great in the rain, and good dry grip for an all season. If you want a summer tire, change the thread title and get some responses from people with more money to spend than I do, with tires that only last 10-15k. Oh yeah, search too.
