Are tire spacers dangerous??

I ordered Konig 18" freefalls with 225/40/18 tires. They came yesterday and when i went to install them on the drivers side back tire it didnt fit. I mean it went in ok, but the wheel will not spin because it rubs on the inside wheelwall. It's not touching the body or anything, its just in the inside. I can spin it just a little, but no way could i drive on it.

Will spacers work for me? I have never used them and don't even know what kind to get. If anybody knows anything about this please let me know.

thanks.

They'll get the wheel off the body, but when the suspension compresses it'll still probably rub. Pushing them out will just rub the lip instead of the body when it compresses. You can try it, get a set of H&R spacers, but thinner tires would solve the problem competely.

they're safe, as long as you used extended studs, to insure that you have enough "bite" for the lug. Also ALWASY torque lugs to spec.

Sorry man i dont know, i got them installed by a friend of mine who works at a tire dealer. He sells konigs himself so he knows what they need to work. Try finding a konig dealer in ur area through the Konig site and see if they can help u out.
