Hubcentric Rim Rings
what kind is better, metal or poly-carbon? i heard the plastic ones can melt like a bitch and the metal ones can make noise, so which kind is better?

I have had the poly (plastic) ones on every set of wheels I have owned and never had a problem. If you want to use the metal ones make sure they fit snuggly so they will not create noise, other wise they will move around and sound kinda funky...

for those wheels that dont come with them, they help center the wheel on the hub and help prevent wheel vibrations.

Metal, Metal, Metal.
It doesn't melt, and it doesn't get destroyed when you try to take them out. I've never had the metal ones make noise. Some of them have a C-Clip or locking ring on them to hold them in the wheel... those are the ones to get.

i have the metal ones in mine. ive never heard a peep from them, my only complaint is that they rust/corode. but the rotors do to, so its not that big of a deal.
also, mine are in a groove which is molded into the wheel, if i remember correctly. could be wrong, i dont remember putting in a C-clip though
