Angry Kosei K1 Racing Rims.....I'm pissed

Well, damn....I think I'm S-O-L on this one. I got my 2001 Civic about a year ago and it came with !7" gunmetal Kosei K-1 Racing wheels.....sweet! Anywho, travelling down one of the many perfectly taken care of state routes....(not)...I hit a damn pothole! Yep, about 6 inches deep!...no lie... I think nothing of it when I pull over becuase the tire was flat....much to my suprise(sort of)...the rim is bent. I'm thinking ...'ok lets see if it can be fixed!'...I take it to a major wheel and tire place and they tell me just to beat the crap out of it back in shape and good luck. So I tryed and I tryed....it never changed. So I called up a place that can fix dents and refinish wheels...they say they can do it. Great...I drive 2 freakin hours to this place (MotoMotion in Medina, OH) and when I get there they put it on the machine and said...and I quote "it's F*cked...we can't fix it." Great....so to blabber on some more ...I get on the internet...Tirerack.com, god of all wheels and tires...they have the new style with blue lettering for $189....hell no...I'll have to pay 189+shipping+the cost to refinish it!!!!....Okay, I goto the Kosei's website...nothing...not even a damn e-mail address. Now, I searched the web. Not a damn thing for the wheel I need. So I look real freakin pimp with three 17's and one Chrome 15".

So here I am, asking anyone for advice or a cheaper solution. If anyone has a 17"x7.5" gunmetal or white K-1 Racing rim they would like to sell...please...help a fellow Honda Civic brother out. I'm sick of getting screwed!

Check out the attached file

Thank you reading...please help...

Problem with fixing an aluminum wheel is that every time aluminum flexes it cracks, so if they were to try to fix it, they would more then likely destroy the wheel.

I think your SOL on finding one K1, you may just have to bite the bullet and buy a new one.

That sucks big time man, I will keep my eye out for one. Your best best would be to keep on eye out on Ebay and what not, that or start calling aorund to some wheel places, might be able to find one somewhere.

Good Luck

I only need one....this sucks...I don't want to spend the extra money for 3 other rims that I will never use. If anyone could please help me find a Kosei K1 Racing Rim in any color...that would be greatly appreciated! Thanks...

sorry paul but ur not gonna find one because people that would have 1 would have 3 more to complete their set... so either ur gonna have to buy 1 from tirerack... and get new tire(damage that bad would have had to damaged belts intire.) or sell ur 3 to a kid that wants some small racing tires for front of car.
