Help with getting 17s and lowering
Help with getting 17s and lowering
I have already searched the forums, but i just want to confirm some questions i had. I plan on getting 17's then lowering my car with Hayame Coilovers (if there aren't many complaints about them since they are relatively new).
1) What tire size should i get assuming i will lower my car
2) Will my tires rub if i lower my car (i plan on lowering it very low)
3) What do you think of these rims (only 16 pounds, think they'll bend easy?)
http://whalentire.com/wheeldetail.cf...7049HS&size=17
4) How much would i expect if i had the coilvers and camber kit installed at a shop
(although i plan on my friend helping me out with these but just in case)
5) Anything else you think i should know about??
Thanks in advance, i just want to be sure before i spend 2 grand for rims, tires and coilovers.

i would get a mesh design with a polished lip (mesh not being in it). check these out ----> http:www.r-1racingwheels.com go to wheels. click on the bottom left corner, they're the gtr9. they're available in silver, gunmetal (my pick), hyper black, and bronze. no to mention they will be alot cheaper! $899 for tire package! ---->http://www.wheelsnext.com/product.phtml?p=176

I myself have 205/40, for urself, it depends on your prefrence on looks and comfort

"Very low" How low is that? Mine is dropped a tad over 2.75" and rub only when Im gettin on it in curves and what not.. I have "0" wheel gap.

With most lightweight, 17" wheels, watchout for potholes!!

Depends where you go and who ya know.. Cost me $250..that included CO install, and a 4 wheel alignment. (Took about 2.5 hrs cuz I decide on the rifde height)[/b]
5) Anything else you think i should know about??
Alignment, alignment, alignment.. Unless you like buying tires..
