Help selecting tire?
I think I may get in the Rota group buy and get some 17 black subzeros, and ive started to look at tires i understand the treadwear and temp rating and that stuff, but what is a good tire around a 100 bucks for daily or spirted driving? Is one really better then the other? do all tired have a "rim protector" so instead of rubbing your wheel with a curb you rub the tire and curb? Im planning on getting 215-45-17 and thinking about these two: Nitto NT NeoGen ZR, or Yokohama AVS ES100? suggestions, comments all welcome thanks

AVS ES100s... I'd almost swear by them. They're sticky and quiet. Don't ask me about treadwear though... I've killed mine abnormally quickly. I have no idea how long they should last.
And that rim protector isn't going to do much... it would prevent brushing, but if you actually hit the curb, you're still going to scratch them, cuz the tire is just going to shift out of the way.
