Performance Tire Questions...
Some questions on low profile tires...
1. Do they tend to run out of air fast than regular tires? That seems to be the case.
2. How often should I change my tires? I ride on Nitto NT450s, 205-40z-17
3. I have a story to go along with this question...
I just lowered my car and saw that one of my tires was low on air, so I went to a gas station to fill it up. The air was broken and all it did was take air OUT of my tires until it was virtually flat. I told the gas station attendant and she said that it's broken. THEY DIDN'T EVEN PUT A SIGN OUT. People are going to want air and all it does is suck air out!! I had to drive about 2 miles to the next gas station on an airless tire. When I got there, I filled it up. This predicament leads to two questions...
1. I put the proper amount of air back in the tire, but the tire still looks a bit flat. Is this because the air has to circulate and redistribute within the tire?
2. I probably drove on the sideall somewhat. Should I worry about ruining the tire or bending the rim?
THANKS!

1. they shouldnt run out of air, unless there is a leak, but if there is a leak yes they will run out sooner then a stock tire cause there is less volume of air in there
2. When they wear out
3.
1. No , its possible that you driving on it flat weakend the side wall so much that even with the proper air pressure in there it just cant hold the tire in its normal shape
2. yes driving on a flat tire will ruin it
I would take the tire to a tire shop so they can dismount it and inspect it to make sure it isnt ruined
