Question Driving with 2 good and 2 wasted

Guys, if I have only two tires on the front that have good amount of tred on them, is it ok the drive? When my back tires need replacement? Is it stupid to reaplce 2 tires and not all four at the same time? hope this makes sense. Need opinions or advice. Couldn't find much when I searched. If there is a posting like this, show me.

Thanks

Ronin is an unknown quantity at this point
If you're not driving in snow and ice, then it's not that bad to have 2 different sets on front and back. And in SF, you should be ok... although you may have to be a bit more careful in rain, cuz your back tires have less grip.

Having said that though, it's always best to have a complete set of 4 identical tires, and rotate them regularly for even wear and maximum tread life and safety.
