Wow... comfy ride

I dunno if anyone else realized this as much as I did... but when I pulled the 17s off and went back to the 15's the ride of the car got like 200% better. Now, its not really that big of a surprise, but it was more than I thought, and was was kinda strange is I had a little trouble if I hit a bump under acceleration, the car would seemingly hop, and now it just goes over it. Well ****.....
The ride never bothered me until it got smoother again, and I kinda like it. I wish I had better tires so I could still throw the car around, but I gotta give up something for the winter. Anyone else come to this realization also?

Maybe I need to start looking around for an obscure rim that I've never/rarely seen and get them in 16". lease:

Yeah I was thinking about buying some 15s, now that I moved and have a 60 mile drive everyday. How much air did you run in your tires, and what size were they? For daily driving lowering the pressure to 30-32 PSI can make a difference.

35 fronts, 34 rear, 215/45/17. Ran them that way cuz thats what Tire Rack recommended, and it was right... that planted the whole treadblock on the ground.

Yeah I ran 35 in my 18s, 30 in my 15s. Next summer I think I'll try running about 31-32 in the 18s. 215/45/17 is pretty much the best size to run on 17s though IMO. The more meat the better!

I notice a big difference in ride and responsivness when I change to my 15's for racing. I've played with the Idea of selling my 17's and getting another set of 15's like maybe a 15X7 and slap another set of Azenis on them...... I love those tires.

I need to get me some wheels, I was thinking about lightweight 16's cause I do like the look of the 17's but the 15's is where the performance is at...

I went from 17's to my stock 15's and I noticed the ride was A LOT softer too. Bumps no longer feel like they're going to destroy my car and I no longer cringe when I drive on rough roads.

My only complaint is that my car doesn't handle near as well riding on my stock wheels.... oh well.
