Abs on a non abs ride

I have the 03 civic dx and it has no abs, and the way i drive its becoming a nesance locking up my tires at 70 mph, so is there a way to install abs on my car and if so how much is it going to run me? Also whats the weight differnce and is it worth it?

i never really looked into it, and i dont know if its been done, but there is a whole bunch of wiring that needs to be done. besides the abs actuator and lines, you would also need the abs control unit and all the wiring that goes with it. Someone else might have some better insight, but as far as my knowledge, thats all you need to work out.

It can be done, but really isn't worth the price. You will need a new ECU, master cylinder and other parts. I think the dealer can do it for ya, but it will be a good $1000

You could do it, but it would be cost prohibitive.... Better just to learn how to Threashold brake..

Never have I experience the lock-up. Or maybe I just didnt know how the lock-up feels but it happens with me [?]

How do I intentionally lock up my brakes without getting into an accident?

Better tires! It is unbeliveable the difference a high performance tire can make in stopping! Also a wider tire helps. Also practice breaking, just like we did before ABS!
