Wheels...swap...
Wheels...swap...
Hey, i have a few questions that probably seem like obvious answers but i just need to make sure...
a) if i did a swap with the rsx 5 lug...that would mean i have to get a new set of rims with 5-114.5 (er...somthing like that, i don't remember the distance between lugs exactly but it wasn't 100).
b) are there any benefits to having 5 lug over 4 lug?
c) is it easy for me to just swap rims when i need to...because i'm thinking about building a show/race type car...and i'd wanna go 18's for show, but on nights when i'ma go race...can i just switch to 15's in my garage? would i have to worry about allignment (granted even tho i'm only going to be having tha 15's on for a few hours at the most) or having to heighten the ride on the coilovers to accomodate the lower rim size?
thanks

Yes you need new rims...
The biggest difference is more rims are available in 5x114.3.
No you can't run 15's with RSX brakes. You need 16's or bigger. As long as you get the tire diameter close to the same, you don't need to re-align or lower/raise the car to accomodate.
But it's pretty tough to build a show race car. Most of the **** you'll add for show adds weight, which is the enemy of a race car.

Ok, thanks, true weight comes more abundant building a show AND race car, but with the engine setup i want to go with the K20...i'll be making 300 whp with about 200+ lb/ft of torque (all motor btw) so it'll still be a pretty quick car...waxing just about any other N/A civic, prelude, etc... at the night scene even with the added weight.
