the tire format... 2xx/xx/18
what the hell does it mean?
im so confused
im going to get 18x7.5 rh C5s and i just dont know what size to get them
its going to be on a neuspeed sport drop, which is around 1.75"
so what does it mean
(225/40/18)
(215/35/18)
(235/40/18)
(245/40/18)
those are all the ones the site offers
i know one of the numbers is the thickness of the tire from the rim up, but i dont know what the other one is
help me please...im new to rims and tires,
an i know im a diamond member, but if someone would just help me now, it will be all over and thats that....plus i can thank you when i get my rims on and i dont scrape :-D

the first number is the width of the tire, the second number is the ratio of the side wall compared to the width of the tire so 215/35 means the side wall is 35 percent high as the width of the tire, and the last number of coarse is the rim size and about what size u should run im running 213/35/18 bc the roads are not bad here however if u have bad roads where u live then run 225/40/18

what classifies the roads as bad...at home, not many bumbs, they are hillym but not bad, and potholes here and there
whats this whole talk about rolling your fenders?
the plastic stuff inside...cant that just be removed?

When you roll your fenders you are "pushing" the body panel further out from the wheel well to allow more room for the tire, so yes one part of it would be removing the inner fender. A 215 wide tire would not need it with a 1.75" drop, but you may have to with a 225 wide tire. As for tire size a 215/40-18 will give you a little more sidewall if your roads are rougher than most, but if they are smooth and pot hole free I would go 215/35-18. Keep in mind neither will be like the stock ride but the 40 series will be smoother than the 35 series sidewall would be.
