Tire with best tread wear?
Which tires have the best tread wear?
I got 17s and plan to just drive around in them.
Don't really care too much about performance.
Just want the tires to last a long time.

Seaching Tire Rack, Bridgestone Potenza RE910 and Michelin XGT H4 both had 400 treadwear ratings. That probably about as high as your gonna see.

I'll consider those tires too.
I got some used konig rated r 6 spokes. The guy took really good care of them no scratches or curb marks. almost like new.
Two tires will need to be replaced soon so I'm planning to replace them all.

I can vouch for the 502's. they are pretty much rocks. (420 A A Tread wear, 60,000 mile warranty) The 512's are much more sticky but still last quite a while (360 A A 30,000 mile warranty) My personal faverote are the Azenis sports (200 A A) but if you are looking for long lasting tires, these are not them.
Michelins are great tires, if you can afford them. LoL. Actually my moms BMW came with Z-Rated Dunlops. But Michelins do come stock on alot of them.
I gotta replace the tires on her Z3 and I dont want the Dunlops again, and i checked into the Michelins and it was like $260 a tire. DAMN, Im going to get her the Yoko ES100 i think.

I heard avid H4s are sh*t... They are one of the cheapest tires out there (atleast name brand tires). Also I heard they are loud. One thing I forgot to mention about the falken 512 is my 215/40/18 size tire is pretty quite.

Avid reviews on tirerack.com are pretty glowing. Anyway, I have 215/35-18 Pirada Spec II's - they grip, plus have a decent wear rating.
I don't think you should pick wear over handling - try to get something that's a compromise. Good rotating and pressure checking habits will pay off.
