About two months ago I received a message that a software update was available for my car. Following instructions I tried to install it several times but was never able to complete the procedure. After a few failed attempts I received a message, "Installation unsuccessful. See dealer".
Car was due for an oil change so I was off to the dealership. I mentioned to the service rep about the failed software installation. He said the reason it failed because "There isn't any update. Honda never issued one." Strange. I asked him to have the tech stop the daily messages to "see the dealer." He didn't, and it still persists. Anyone know anything about this? Thank you.

Hi Carbo,
There was an update few months ago. I asked the service department they told me to bring the car and leave it for 4-5 hours min. I updated it myself without the hassle. You may be able to do it. yourself too.

I tried installing the update myself, but I wasn't able to download it. I received an error message to visit my dealer for installation. I did, and that's when I was told no such update exists. Strange, indeed.

You need to restart your display (press and hold the power and home together for 10 seconds). After restart, try the updates but choose to do it in the background. Please note, you must first make sure your car is connected to your phone and you have cellular data available for this update.
