Upgrading from 7" to 9" radio
Upgrading from 7" to 9" radio
Hey. First post here. Just picked up a 2023 Civic EX yesterday for a commuter vehicle. It's much nicer than I expected but I don't have Sirus XM. Wondering if anyone has upgraded from the 7" to the 9" radio and if all connections are already in the wiring. Figure it can't be as simple as just plugging in but maybe it's mostly plug and play. Thoughts?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

I'm a strange bird, that's for sure. Actually already planning to pull the interior and door panels for some sound insulation at some point soon as well. Some Killmat will make a hell of a difference in the road noise (which is already very reasonable).

Re: Upgrading from 7" to 9" radio
back at @cvillechopper , unfortunately there's not a lot of info about the 11thgens yet, but I can tell you that, in my 10thgen (since they're.. similar setups..) it was more than just plug and play to go from my 7" color audio to retrofit the 9" infotainment system. Luckily, for me, there was a dude on another forum that was selling PnP conversion harnesses for the 10thgen. In addition to that harness, I had to buy a few other OEM modules (like the am/fm tuner and GPS antenna). I'm not sure if the same would work on the 11th or not.
I will say, however, once I got it all plugged in, some of the advanced "features" worked, like resetting TPMS from the head unit instead of the button on the side of my dash amongst other things.
