Please advise me on my potential purchase!
Hi guys, I am sure this happens frequent enough and that is kind of annoying. However, I am going to see a car tomorrow for potential purchase. The car is a 2009 Honda Civic Hybrid with 116,000 miles on it and a clean title. I have never owned or driven a hybrid vehicle before. Since this is a hybrid and an older used one at that, I wanted to ask you guys whether there may be something I should look for specifically? I know that the battery, like any other battery, will wear over time. I do not know what this means specifically for a battery that operates a hybrid car. The gentleman is asking $5000, which is more than a fair price given the year and mileage. Thank you!

I (personally) wouldn't buy it unless the IMA battery has already been replaced ---recently.
IMA battery is a pretty large expense if you have to buy one

From what I know now; you can get a refurbished IMA battery with a warranty for about 1100.00 now which isn't bad. I'm actually going to purchase a higher powered hybrid battery for about 2000.00 installed.
